Jennifer has experience working with clients who have encountered complex and challenging circumstances, whether in their backgrounds, daily lives or in the relationships that are most important to them. This includes work with a diversity of individuals, couples, families and the myriad of intersecting experiences and relationships that they encounter, connect with and seek to foster - or sometimes just better understand - in their day to day and throughout their lives.

Jennifer’s interest in therapeutic change, relationships and the foundational elements of connection grew out of her work with individuals, couples and families as a lawyer and led to her completing her Master of Social Work in 2015. She is a Registered Social Worker in the province of Ontario and has worked and trained in a number of areas, including community mental health, schools, a provincial agency and private practice.

Central to her interests and work with clients is the research-based understanding that interpersonal connection, experienced with genuineness, warmth and authenticity, can provide a foundation for positive therapeutic change. Emotion-focused therapy (EFT), attachment theory and mindfulness are fundamental elements in her work with individuals, couples and families.
