Couples and Family Counselling

Jennifer works with couples and families to identify dynamics and patterns of behaviour that over time can undermine feelings of security and connection. When clients have the opportunity to drop into and explore the emotions that underlie these experiences, shifts in understanding can create windows where improved problem solving and deepened communication and connection can take place.

A few of the issues that can be addressed in relationship counselling:

  • improved communication and problem solving

  • understanding and awareness of sources of conflict and recurring patterns

  • skills to de-escalate conflict and reduce reactivity

  • repairing past hurts and breaches of trust

  • deepening emotional connection and feelings of security

  • parenting challenges and family conflict

  • navigating individual challenges and impacts on relationships, codependency

  • fostering communication and connection in blended families and navigating family transitions, including separation and divorce

  • experience working with high conflict couples and families

Fee: $215 (60-minute session).

*A reduced rate based on capacity to pay is available. Registered Social Workers are exempt from charging HST.
